Summer Filipiñana styles pop up

KULTURA’S Filipino Design Studio is ready to elevate summer wardrobes with a stunning popup event. This meticulously curated space teems with earthy neutrals and natural materials that evoke images of idyllic Philippine destinations.

Launched on March 16 and open through April 2, Kultura’s Filipino Design Studio will be open to the public at SM Aura Premier, following the success of its first launch back in September at Kultura at The Podium. The pop-up event aims to showcase the best of local talent and support burgeoning designers from all over the country.

Also included in the pop-up is a selection of guest brands in fashion, beauty, home, personal care, modern Filipiniana and pasalubongworthy goods. Kultura’s Filipino Design Studio spotlights unique tropical-inspired fashion pieces from Gwapitos, inspired by the island life of the surfing capital, Siargao. Nino Franco also blends traditional ethnic hand embroidery from the T’boli tribe of Mindanao with modern fashion aesthetics. Matthew and Melka’s accessories feature playful designs inspired by local flora and fauna, while Anmari & Co’s handbags are made from buntal, raffia, rattan, and tikog sourced all over the country.

The items in Kultura’s Filipino Design Studio are not only stylish but also support various communities across the country. Eva Marie uses tikog grass woven by women from Samar to make vibrant accessories and home decor.

Meanwhile, 11th Earth Home Decor uses upcycled materials to craft beautiful earth-friendly collections made by indigent provincial communities. Luid Lokal boasts a natural beauty and texture of wooden wares, handmade by communities in Pampanga. Lastly, Rurungan sa Tubod Foundation’s caftans and wraps are made with fabrics handwoven on traditional looms by women from Puerto Princesa’s fishing and farming villages.

Kultura’s Filipino Design Studio: Summer Pop-Up is located on the 3rd Level Atrium of SM Aura Premier in Bonifacio Global City.
