Shopee 9.9 sale sets recordbreaking numbers

SHOPEE, Southeast Asia’s leading e-commerce platform, achieved great results in the annual 9.9 Super Shopping Day, marking a 41-times increase in new buyers. Vincent Lee, head of Shopee Philippines, said Shopee remained dedicated to providing the best online shopping experience. “Shopee will continue to deliver more exciting campaigns as we gear up towards the upcoming year-end shopping season,” Lee added. Shopee Live, an interactive livestreaming platform, engaged customers effectively by helping brands and sellers connect more. Buyers spent more than 2.7 hours on Shopee Live during the 9.9 period, resulting in a 6-times increase in new viewers. Over 400,000 vouchers were claimed by users, who maximized the exclusive discounts and promotions that Shopee offered. In terms of product categories, home and living performed best, followed by health and personal care. Fashion and beauty had the most discounts spent, with a 70 percent off on most products. Two of the top-selling products in Shopee Live — Maybelline Fit Me Fresh Tint and O.TWO.O Long Wear Face Foundation — belonged to this category.
