COVID CASES SPIKE IN ORIENTAL MINDORO

THE number of active cases in the province of Oriental Mindoro is the highest in Region 4B (Mimaropa) and even higher in at least three Southeast Asian countries, data from the Department of Health showed. The province reported 67 new cases on Thursday and 29 on Friday, bringing the total active cases to 480. The number accounts for 34.9 percent of the 1375 active cases in the region. The number is higher than the total number of active cases in Singapore (407), Laos (28) and Brunei (8), according to the Asean Post, a technology-driven, communications and intelligence platform, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
