FILIPINO American point guard Remy Martin declared for the 2021 NBA Draft on Friday after a fouryear career with the Arizona State University Sun Devils in the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association (US NCAA).

“Guys, I just want to let you guys know that I am extremely grateful for the four years that you guys have been supporting me. I just want to let you guys know that I will be pursuing my NBA dreams,” said the 22-year-old Martin in a video posted over his social media pages.

“I want to say, ‘Thank you,’ to coach [Bobby] Hurley and his staff for allowing me to be myself, allowing me to play my game. I also want to thank my parents, my family for supporting me throughout the years,” added Martin, who was also grateful for the support of the Sun Devils community.

Graduating with a degree in sociology, the 6’ Martin registered 14.9 points, 3.9 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in his four-year stint with Arizona.

Martin, who has always been vocal about his desire to play for Gilas Pilipinas, capped his collegiate career with averages of 19.1 points, 3.7 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game in his senior year.
