REIKO AND KENZEN

FOR EVERYONE’S GOOD

TESSA MAURICIO -ARRIOLA

At 98 pounds, the petite dynamo that is Beautederm’s well-loved president and CEO, Rhea "Rei" Anicoche tan, has her healthy lifestyle, the power of prayer and the company’s newly launched, FDA-approved line of vitamins and supplements for sparing her from ever catching the world’s most notorious bane that is Covid-19.

With hundreds of employees depending on her company for their livelihood and an even bigger — not to mention global — network of Beautederm sellers and users, whose lives her megasuccessful nutraceutical business have “beautefied,” she just couldn’t drop everything and stay safe at home.

“God has blessed me with so much already, and in all humility, puwede na po ako mag-retire,” the 42-year-old marketing and product whiz said at Beautederm’s first face-to-face event since the pandemic began. Held at Novotel Manila Araneta on November 25, Rei — as she is fondly called — was technically 41 when she said this, by the way, because the event fell on the day before her birthday.

“Every week, kahit na may regular testing, laging may nahahawa sa head office, sa field, sa warehouses since the pandemic started,” she tearfully recalled. “Ako naman, yung pag-ikot sa mga bago nating stores, and going back and forth to Manila — one time, lahat ng kasama ko sa biyahe naCovid except me.”

Profusely thanking the Lord for protecting her, she revealed, “My prayer, all this time has been, ‘Lord, please spare me from this virus because ang dami ko pang gustong tulungan.’”

And that, Rei, has been doing on top of her endless big boss duties, helping disenfranchised communities, frontliners and even friends from showbiz whose projects were put on hold because of the pandemic.

It can be recalled that Rei never stopped launching new celebrities to join her glittering roster of brand ambassadors in the last two years, and in doing so, helped to augment the income of camera men and layout artists for the endless shoots, and of course, boost her sellers’ sales with the likes of Dingdong Dantes and Bea Alonzo as her big star coups this 2021.

“But besides eating lots of dinengdeng (a healthy vegetable dish from her hometown of Ilocos Norte), drinking lots of water, exercising and praying, I also have thank this range of vitamins and supplements we developed for the market, all the way in Japan,” Rei continued.

And out came two bubbly and beautiful celebrities to help Rei talk about what she personally — and consequently, they — proved to be the most effective health boosters to protect busy bees like her from getting Covid-19.

Top teen drama actress Andrea Brillantes and Philippine Dance Princess Maja Salvador are the official endorsers of Beautederm’s FDA-approved vitamins and supplements, Reiko and Kenzen, formulated to help individuals maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

The Reiko and Kenzen lines are composed of seven FDA-notified and all-natural health supplements, namely the Memory Booster, Energy Booster, Immunity Booster, Sleep Enhancer, Sun Protection Enhancer, Diet Enhancer and Digestion Enhancer.

Regularly taken, these nutraceuticals are proven to provide optimal wellness and help strengthen one’s overall wellbeing in these trying times, where the currency of good living is defined by holistically sound physical, emotional and mental conditions.

“My team and I have been working on Reiko and Kenzen for over a year now. The pandemic has taught and reminded us so many things — that we should be grateful for all the many blessings God continues to shower to all of us, that family is very precious, and that we should always take care of our health. In other words, we need to boost our immune system and take care of not just of our bodies but also our minds as well,” Rei explained.

“Reiko and Kenzen is my small contribution to make sure that everyone is in tiptop shape and healthy. I welcome Andrea and Maja to the family, both highly active and motivated women, who need products of this quality to keep pushing their goals and dreams, no matter what.”

To end, the ever-playful Rei, in driving home the knowledge that people cannot and should not believe they can’t take vitamins and supplements at an early age, teased: “Rei ‘ko,’” pointing to herself; “Rei ninyo,” poinitng out fingers to her guests, “Rei nating lahat!”

For everyone’s good, indeed.
