The Manila Times

TIMES TURNS SPOTLIGHT

spotlight on celebrity candidates running in the May 9 elections.

The show is hosted by The Times’ Lifestyle and Entertainment editor Tessa Mauricio-Arriola and streamed on The Times Facebook page, YouTube channel and Dailymotion account every Sunday at 10 a.m. from January 30 through the election period.

The pilot episode featured Robinhood Ferdinand “Robin” Cariño Padilla and his quest for a seat in the Senate, and was directed and edited by Neil Reyes.

The Times’ public service commitment to dissect the leadership capabilities, plans and qualities of actors and public luminaries emerging in the political scene started on Sept. 16, 2015, with the exclusive Times section titled “Lights, Camera, Boto!”

Since then, The Times has evolved from being the most trustworthy English newspaper in the Philippines since 1898 to a media group with print, digital, online, social media, podcast, streaming and televised platforms for more penetrating and equitable news coverage and exclusive features.
