Senator Bong sends help to Siargao, Dinagat Islands

WHILE waiting for the return of “Agimat ng Agila,” Sen. Bong Revilla busied himself reaching out to the victims of Typhoon Odette. Over a month ago, he started visiting provinces and cities in the Visayas badly hit by the super typhoon.

His last stop overs were in Siargao and Dinagat Islands in January 20.

In coordination with Kaagapay sa Araw ng Pangangailangan-Bayanihan Relief (KAP-BR), Revilla distributed food packs, sacks of rice and UPVC roof and various roofing panels for devastated homes in the two islands.

The aid were turned over to Dapa Command Center, headed by League of Mayors of the Philippines President and Pilar, Surigao del Norte Mayor Liza Resurrecion.

Also at the turnover was Davao Mayor Sara Duterte, who had earlier accepted the chairmanship of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats. Revilla was joined in this aid-giving the by first nominee for the Agimat Partylist Bryan Revilla.

On Dinagat Island, Revilla and his entourage were welcomed by Congressman Alan Ecleo and Vice Governor Nilo Demery, who also received the food packs, rice and roofing materials.

Realizing the brought items were not enough, Revilla promised to return for more donations for the other victims of Typhoon Odette.
