Imus holds wedding for nine couples

IMUS, Cavite: The local government led by Mayor Alex Advincula staged the first Imuseño Mass Wedding under his leadership on August 11 at the session hall of the new city hall building in Barangay Malagasang 1-G.

Mayor Advincula officiated the free wedding of nine couples witnessed by Imus Rep. Adrian Jay Advincula and supervised by City Chaplain Sancho Sampot and Deputy Chaplain Ramil Ilano.

Advincula said, “We are only here to support and guide, but at the end of it all, you and your husband will still be the ones who will help each other through the hardships and the comforts. So, it’s just a fight, everyone can survive.”

This month’s mass wedding is just the beginning of the free weddings sponsored by the city set twice a month.

The newlyweds also received a cash gift, a rice cooker, an electric fan and a photo album from the local chief executive and the congressman.
