DSWD partners with Comelec on voters registration

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) collaborated with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to make voter registration simple and accessible in compliance with the Register Anywhere Program (RAP).

DSWD Officer in Charge Eduardo Punay reaffirmed the agency’s support for the voter registration program for its employees and family members so that they can participate in the next barangay (village) and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

“The DSWD supports the Comelec in its endeavor to make voter registration easy and accessible to the Filipino people. Hence, a satellite registration site in the DSWD Central Office was established today to provide a venue for the registration of DSWD employees and their relatives for the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections,” Punay said at a news briefing on Monday.

“In addition to voter registration, the Comelec will also facilitate applications for transfer,” he added.

The poll body is one of the government organizations that support the One-Stop-Shop Serbilis On-the-Go as part of the 72nd anniversary of the DSWD.

In addition to voter registration, DSWD employees can access various front-line services provided by other agencies.
