All set for Antipolo’s cityhood anniversary

THE city government of Antipolo on Friday announced the activities for its colorful and festive 25th cityhood anniversary today, April 1.

According to Antipolo City Mayor Jun Ynares, the silver anniversary will be a huge event for the city.

A parade will be held that features the tourist attractions of the city.

Among the celebrities who will join the parade include McCoy de Leon and Franki Russel.

The city’s villages will also participate in the float parade under the theme “Disney Pixar” which is guaranteed to bring smiles not only to children but to the young at heart as well, the mayor said.

After the parade, a concert by popular band Silent Sanctuary will be held.

Ynares reminded the public that throughout the festivities, people should not forget to practice safety and health precautions with the Covid-19 still present.

The mayor also said that everyone, even those not residing in Antipolo City, are welcome to join the celebration.

“Tawagin na ang tropa at barkada, at tayo na’t magsaya sa 25 taon ng pananampalataya, malasakit, katatagan at pag-unlad. Happy 25th cityhood anniversary, Antipolo!” Ynares said.
