Palace launches free newspaper

MALACAÑANG has launched The Philippine Gazette, a free newspaper that aims to inform the public about the programs and projects of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration.

The Presidential Communications Office-Bureau of Communication Services (PCO-BCS) released the free publication last Wednesday.

In a Facebook post, the PCO said the tabloid-size paper, to be released once a month, will serve as a “bridge” between the public and the government.

It will be available in Light Rail Transit-2 stations in Recto, Cubao and Santolan.

Copies are also available at the Philippine National Railways Tutuban station, the North Harbor Terminal and the Victory Liner Terminal in Pasay City.

The first issue of The Philippine Gazette focused on the Marcos administration’s goal to build at least a million housing units annually.

It also featured stories about the government’s initiatives on renewable energy, economic development, and the fight against terrorism.

Stories on the government’s Kadiwa ng Pangulo centers and the President’s visit to Washington, D.C., were also included.
