Most wanted drug personality in Ilocos nabbed


The Ilocos Sur Provincial Office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has arrested the Ilocos Region’s top drug personality target during a buy-bust in Barangay Poblacion, San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur on Thursday, March 16.

PDEA-1 Regional Director Joel Plaza identified the suspect as Marlo Lim, 46, a resident of Barangay Anonang, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur.

The joint operation was conducted by elements from the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.

The authorities confiscated from the possession of the suspect 15 pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 7 grams worth P47,600, three mobile phones, several identification cards and bank deposit slips, cash amounting to P8,125 in different denomination, and the buy-bust money, among others.

The suspect will be charged with violating Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

Lim is detained at San Ildefonso Police Station.
