Dyson announces new technology engineered for healthier homes

DYSON unveiled new products that bring together automation, advanced software and intelligence with best-ever cleaning performance. From St. James Power Station, Singapore, Chief Technology Officer John Churchill unveiled the new technologies whilst giving a glimpse into Dyson’s vision of the future of clean homes, borne of decades of expertise in filtration, airflow, motors, software and robotics.

The Dyson 360 Vis Nav TM robot vacuum has sensors that detect the edges of a room, and redirect suction through a side-actuator for precision edge cleaning — solving one of the biggest challenges for any robot — edge cleaning. Its high-level processor thinks and adapts, capable of pinpointing its position to within 71 mm.

The Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde has integrated sensors. A unique Dyson algorithm cross-checks data every second, analyzing the air in the room, automatically switching on purification when pollutant levels rise, and switching off once the space is thoroughly cleaned. A unique solid-state sensor precisely detects formaldehyde, without being confused by other VOCs.

The Dyson Gen5detect cordless vacuum features fifth generation Hyperdymium motor technology, delivering unrivaled suction power, capable of capturing viruses from your home.

The machine features a fully sealed, whole-machine HEPA filtration system, engineered to capture 99.99 percent of particles down to 0.1 microns 13.14 cyclones also remove dust from the airflow so there’s no loss of suction 14, ensuring optimal performance with every clean.

The Dyson Submarine wet roller head, available with the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine and Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine vacuums, delivers just the right amount of water to effectively remove spills, stains, and small debris from hard floors.

To achieve an optimum “clean floor” finish without over saturating, the wet roller head has been engineered with an eight-point hydration system, using a pressurized chamber for even water distribution across the full width of the roller.
