Perpetual downs Arellano for 3rd straight win

UNIVERSITY of Perpetual Help System Dalta took down Arellano University 94-81 for its third straight win and sixth overall in the 16th FilOil EcoOil Preseason Cup at the FilOil EcoOil Center on Thursday, May 25.

Lars Sunga led Arellano with 25 points and eight rebounds while Sebastian Valencia chipped in 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists for the Chiefs who remained winless in five games.

In another game, Far Eastern University (FEU) demolished First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) Colleges 95-58.

Luke Felipe heated up from beyond the arc as he sank seven of his 10 triples in the game and shot 10-of-14 from the field to finish with a game-high 27 points for the Tamaraws, who recovered from a 54-55 setback to St. Clare on Saturday, May 20.

Rojan Montemayor, likewise, came through and poured a near double-double performance of 15 points and nine rebounds plus three assists for good measure.

Aeron Bagunu added 12 points and four rebounds and Cholo
