BEHOLD the latest iWantTFC original series that is bound to make your heartstrings sing. “Teen Clash” is an adaptation of Ilyn Anne Danganan’s astounding Wattpad story that tells the tale of a disparate group of young, music-loving individuals who are all on a unique and challenging journey of self-discovery.

Jayda Avanzado and Aljon Mendoza are the up-and-coming stars who will take viewers on an unforgettable ride through the chaotic world of music, romance, friendships, and finding oneself.

Avanzado plays Zoe, the aspiring musician thirsty for redemption after a grave and embarrassing past incident. Along the way, she runs into the charming and talented songster, Ice, portrayed by Mendoza.

A roller-coaster of emotions ensues as these youngsters tackle their personal struggles and the road blocks to their dreams together. At the show’s media conference, Avanzado and Mendoza discussed overcoming their initial awkwardness, developing genuine trust, and achieving a comfortable working relationship.

“We were both working towards one goal. There were awkward moments, but we’re human and worked it out eventually. The more we worked together, the more comfortable we became with one another, and there was only trust between us,” Avanzado shared in Filipino.

According to Mendoza, Avanzado’s boundless energy picked him up whenever the work tired him out. “She would help every time we had a scene. Like when we had a shoot at dawn and I felt ‘low batt,’ I just asked her to hold my hand, and I’d feel her energy right away.”

From the start, he had also vowed to make an effort to get to know his Teen Clash co-star as best he could.

“When we learned we had a project together, we tried to get to know each other more by texting, finding out what her hobbies are and our perspectives on different situations,” he elaborated.

Joining the new love team to stir more excitement in the series are fellow teen actors Markus Patterson, Kobie Brown, Bianca de Vera, Zach Castañeda, Gail Banawis, Ralph Malibunas, Luke Alfored and Andrea Abaya.

“Teen Clash” is directed by Gino Santos and produced by iWantTFC and Black Sheep. It streams for free in the Philippines beginning today on the iWantTFC app (iOs and Android) and website (iwanttfc.com). A new episode drops every Friday at 8 p.m.
