Pueblo de Panay wins Masterplan Development of the Year award

PUEBLO de Panay Township, master planned by Singaporean premier urban planning firm Surbana Jurong in Roxas City, Capiz, won Masterplan Development of the Year at the Real Estate Asia Awards 2023.

The award was a testament to the excellence shown by the township development firm in terms of innovative urban planning and sustainable growth. Pueblo de Panay was also recognized for its contributions to communities by creating investment and employment opportunities. The wide span of 670 hectares made it a perfect expansion site for business continuity purposes. Its focus on the information technology business process management (IT-BPM) industry helped generate over 6,000 jobs.

It established the Pueblo de Panay TechnoPark, the first and only Philippine Economic Zone Authority-accredited IT-BPM park in northern Panay Island. Due to its contribution to innovation and technology, Roxas City was recognized as one of the Philippines’ 25 digital cities.

Aside from that, Pueblo de Panay township served as the home of several facilities such as residential subdivisions and condominium buildings, educational institutions, an agro-industrial park, retail establishments, restaurants, hotels and government offices.

Its natural spaces made it ideal for hosting events such as sports and community events — a reflection of their commitment to work, life and balance.

Pueblo de Panay Township also made ambitious plans for its growth and expansion. This included ITBPM structures, a Capiz convention center and the expansion of educational institutions buildings.
